Forces Help Ghana (FHG) is a Non-Government Organization which was launched on the 11th of April 2014 seeking to assist the Veterans Administration, Ghana (VAG) to support the Ghanaian veterans and families. We are completely independent from the Ministry of Defence, Ghana. Our intent is to improve the welfare and to provide medical support to supplement the Ghanaian government’s effort for those who have and continue to risk their lives to protect the freedom of the people of Ghana.
We plan to concentrate on the health needs and a few other areas that will directly affect the livelihood and facilitate the well being of these veterans. It is important to note here, that due to old age, most of these veterans suffer from diseases such as:
- Prostrate cancer
This also includes preserving a sense of pride in the veterans’ community and to promote comradeship and fraternity between the Gold Coast veteran and the modern day veteran in all 3 services.
FHG recognizes that, the quality of ‘Care’ and what it means to each other individual veteran may come in many different forms. We intend to make that sure whatever their needs and concerns may be, they receive the best of care FHG can provide.
FHG is doing far more work in highlighting the needs of the Ghanaian Veterans in areas of medical care, rehabilitation programs, mobility and professional assistance at care homes.
The work of FHG will make a difference to the lives of the veterans and their families. We reach out to all those caring people and organisations to enable us to support our veterans.
